Monster pencil cases

These are new in some ways, but a variation on an existing pattern. They are based on the monster purses and phone cases, but extended to be long enough for pencils - or possibly to be used as sunglasses cases. As ever, playing with expressions is the best part of making these. I love the way that variations in eye, tongue and tooth positions can produce such character.

Monster bags restocked

Another part of my restocking, finally completed over the Christmas holidays.  I am fond of these - but not quite as fond of them now as I was before making five at once!
The pattern is based on the owl bag (you can find a tutorial for it in an earlier post) and I do like playing with different expressions for these monsters.

More monster purses

This is a different design.  It was a variation on the wallet purse featured earlier - straightforward to make as it is unlined.  These purses made use of some of the reclaimed zips I was given by a good friend.  I love the effect of a mouth that the zips give.

Monster coin purses

This is a variation on a previous design. You can find a tutorial for this style of coin purse here if you want to make one for yourself. I'm still stocking up on monster related items in preparation for a "Wild Things" series of sales in December, so I guess I need to make sure I don't sell all of these before then!

Monster tissue pouches

I am stocking up on creature themed items in preparation for a series of stalls at the end of the month.  These will be at a local theatre production of "Wild Things".  Here is one creation I have come up with:
Aren't they cute?  Each holds one of those little tissue pouches which (in my cse) get stuck at the bottom of your bag and turn grotty.  They were really simple to make and I think would be fun stocking fillers.

Return of the monsters...

More monster phone cases.  These haven't sold as well as the owl phone cases, but replacements are now needed.  I love the different expressions I can create on these, though this batch seem to have come out looking much more fierce than the first lot.
There is a tutorial for these here if you want to make some yourself.

More monster purses

Continuing with my restocking, I today finished another 20 monster purses.  This is my second batch of these; not knowing how well they would sell, I only made five on my first attempt.  Well, all 5 of them sold over two sales, so I think they will be a popular item.  Each one takes me, I think, about 20 minutes to complete, and it is fun to experiment with different expressions and characters.
If you would like to make these for yourself, you can find my tutorial for them here
