Apologies - and a new post!

I seem to have forgotten how hectic the start of a new school year is!  It isn't that I haven't been sewing, or haven't been selling for that matter.  Rather, I haven't had time to take photos and/or create blog posts.  But I do intend to turn over a new leaf, in the hope that there are still some people left following this blog!
I have lots of news to pass on - and, tantalisingly, I intend to leave the news to follow in later posts!  Mean, aren't I!  While you wait, here is one of my recent creations:

This bag is a long-standing favourite, both of mine and for customers.  It is always fun choosing which pockets to use.  It's a sturdy, practical bag. and I'm glad to have it in stock again before the Christmas sales.  You can find the tutorial for this bag here; it is a great one for a beginner to make as the construction is so simple.

I'll be sharing this bag at the following link parties:

Embroidered bucket bag - Mae West

More completed bucket bags.  The first set sold quickly.  Hoping the second set will.  I also have the embroidery machine running at full speed to make more panels.
"Too much of a good thing can be wonderful" - apparently said by Mae West.  Like the previous bags, this has a pocket on the back.

Owls with embroidered eyes

My embroidery machine has been getting a real workout recently.  I have been restocking after last week's four sales - much needed.  As ever, one of the most popular items has been my owl phone cases, and I sold out completely of the largest size of these.  So I was due to restock - and I have to admit that the thought of all the applique involved was making me loath to start.  Then I thought - there must be some patterns for embroidered eyes for sale online somewhere. Off I went, hunting on Etsy.
This was my first set of finds...
I was pleased with these.  Then I found the second set of eyes.

Oh, you'll have to wait for that installment later in the week!  Sorry!

Embroidered pouch

I am really pleased with this pattern - I may have to use it again.  Not the pouch itself (I already make it in a variety of sizes) but the embroidery.  It makes me smile to see it.  I have several more patterns in the same style, and I feel a set of pouches coming on....
