Chocolate....

This slogan is one I have used before, and one which is always popular.  I empathise with the sentiments entirely!
"Everything's better with chocolate."

Indeed it is!

In favour of cats

The first version of this bag I published was clearly for a dog lover.  This one should appeal to cat lovers.  I found the quote online, and teamed it up with this beautiful cat face embroidery.

"A cat's eyes are windows into another world."

Tongue in cheek...

...I do like this bag!  Not sure I would ever express the sentiments out loud, though maybe I would like to at times!
The message?

"I can only please one person a day.
Today is not your day.
Tomorrow's not looking good either."

"I love music"

This is the second of my long handled tote bags.  The pattern is exactly the same as the last one, but I used a different panel.  I do resist repeating myself, particularly when I have an abundance of panels to use.  I think this one could be used to carry sheet music - or perhaps would just appeal to a music lover!

Embroidered tote bags

The wonderful embroidery machine which I have been lent has been turning out embroidered panels for me, and I have been busy making them into a variety of bag styles.  This first version is a long handled tote bag with a squared off base.  I cut the panels to 7 1/2" square, and used 4" squares for the rest of the side.
The message on this first bag is, "My dog's not spoiled.  I'm just well trained."

On the back I patched entirely in 4" squares, but also included a couple of patches made from pockets.  These are both attractive and practical - a useful place to slip in a shopping list or bus ticket, perhaps.

Slogan bags

I am still using up my stock of embroidered panels.  This is the second style of bag I have created with them, and was very popular at recent sales. It was fairly quick to make, adapted from a pattern in one of my many bag books.  I adapted the straps somewhat to make them suitable (and possible) for denim - turning a denim tube is not a pastime I relish so I make straps by folding fabric lengthways and top stitching.
I am still collecting bag slogans - contributions appreciated!
