Drawstring handbags

These are the same design as the gym bags I posted earlier, just made smaller.  I have one of these myself and find it great as a handbag.  Mine has no pockets, though - and I am very tempted to make a pocketed version for myself!

Parrot bookmarks

This is another purchased pattern.  Like the celtic bookmarks, these take a while to embroider.  However, the results are, to my mind, quite spectacular, and I look forward to seeing how well they sell.

Backpack swimbag

This is a version of the ever-popular pocket backpack, but this time with a waterproof lining.  The lining is actually some plastic tablecloth - quite heavy to work with, but effective.
I was pleased to find this blue and white check, which I think works well with the denim.  It strikes me that a similar bag would be useful as a nappy bag - I will look at making a mat to go with it.

More embroidered phone cases

These were rather "Odds and ends" discovered in a recent excavation of my sewing room!  I need to do further restocking of the embroidered phone cases, but this is a start.

Drawstring bag - gym bag

Another thing I invested in over Christmas was an eyelet press - a large, free standing one rather than a hand press.  It has already proved to be a great investment.  This style of bag is one I have made previously, but have needed to use a friend's eyelet press, which rather slowed the process down.  Now I have my own press I can see that I will be making more of these.  I already have, in fact, and posts will follow, along with a  tutorial at some point.

Celtic Bookmarks

I invested in a number of new embroidery patterns over the holidays.  These were one set.  I believe they were intended to be sewn as Free Standing Lace bookmarks, but I rather like the effect when they are embroidered on denim.  They take a fair while to embroider, but very little time to complete!

Flower power

As a family, we have been rewatching the entire Harry Potter series of films this Christmas - it has been great fun!  I'm not one to sit and do nothing, however, so I have been tackling some hand sewing during the films.  Hand sewing is not one of my favourite pastimes, but these flowers are quite rewarding to complete.  They are destined for bags, of course!
