Check me out

Another feathered friend.
This little chap is nearly all recycled.  Not only is the main body from a pair of old jeans, but I was also given a rather lovely checked shirt which formed the contrast.  Inside, the shirt pocket was used to make an internal pocket, and the strap is formed from the tie belt of the shirt.  I'm really pleased with this, and predict a rapid sale...

Ornaments

Some photos of the individual ornaments - I posted the whole set earlier this week.

These designs are all in the online shop.  All these designs are made of words - I love them!

Stratton Upper School Christmas fair

I nearly didn't go to this one, but am glad I did.  The organisers are so generous with the space they allocate that it is a real pleasure to set things out.  This year I even had a space where I could hang things behind my stall! It was a successful afternoon in many ways and led to an invitation to a much larger event than I have attended to date.

Pocket purses again

I keep needing to restock these; they sell well.  This set are unlined and one of the low price items.  One is on sale in my shop; at £1 plus P&P the money raised will feed a child on our feeding programme for a week.

Owl bag

You can find the tutorial for this little chap through my tutorials page.  I seem to keep making these - I really wish I had kept track of how many!  They are really cute, and much loved by customers young and old.

Christmas ornaments

I've had a bit of trouble with my embroidery machine lately, but once I managed to get the correct screwdriver so that I could open the presser plate and clear out a ton of threads, it has resumed normal production.  The first thing on my list was Christmas ornaments, and I managed to get this set done.  I'm really pleased with how they turned out; all are backed with Christmas fabric and look great.  Some are for sale in my online shop if you are interested.  Only £1 plus P&P - and that will feed a child in Utange for a whole week!

Cambourne Craft Fair

This was my third time at this fair; it is a lovely venue and always well organised. This time was the last one organised by Laura; fortunately Anneka has come forward to take it on, so I look forward to returning. A sign of the times was the reduction in takings from last year; it seems people are being much more careful about how they spend their money, which is understandable in the current financial situation. I still had a worthwhile afternoon, and it was good to have repeat visitors from previous events. Even nicer, in a way, was having people come along with jeans for me! I was pleased with how my stall worked out, though it is getting ever harder to fit things in without it being too crowded.

Cupcake crazy

This slogan gets plenty of attention.  It is another of what has become a standard design to keep in stock - easy to make up and attractive and practical.
