Embroidered pouches again

I was intending to make ten of these, but after the first one rapidly adjusted the pattern, because it turned out to be SO fiddly to make.  Pity, because I do like the shape, but far too time consuming for my purposes.

Kindle cases mark 2

This is the second version of my kindle cases.  The principle is the same as the previous one, but this time I used a jeans pocket for one side of the case.  Useful for storing cables, I think!
Again, these use a jeans button and a simple elastic loop as a closure.

Camera cases

The pattern for these came from a super little book: Pretty Little Cozies. It made up beautifully and I hope will sell well, though I am concerned whether people will not buy in case their camera doesn't fit.  We shall see.

Christmas presents!

Yes, I know the title is a bit strangely timed!  But I am so excited and I wanted to share with you the lovely photos I received.
You may remember that last year I got myself very busy making Christmas presents for the children at Casuarina House.  You can refresh your memory herehere, here and here.  Well, the bags were delivered and the latest newsletter from The Sure Foundation included photos of some of the children with them.
Back: Tobias and Gereza.  Front: Happy and Mariamu.
Left to right: Kanze, Bahati, Tina and Winnie.
Kadenge (I think!), Right, Dennis and Dickson
Tobias and Mariamu
Juma and Manu

Come and see me at a sale and you can buy your own version of this bag - but without the embroidery!!

Kindle cases mark 1

Version 1 of my new line of Kindle cases, inspired by these photos.
I have been invited back to the E2BN show this summer and, as it is a technology show, have started stocking up on technology related items.  I have various designs of Kindle cases, and plan to make the same designs in different sizes for use as Ipad cases too - with and without the covers.
These made up really quickly - I calculated sizes myself and hope they will fit all of the various incarnations of Kindles.  I like the jean buttons used for the fastenings - I added a simple elastic loop, just to prevent Kindle escapologists!

Card wallets

This is another tiny make - quick and easy to produce.  It came from a great book I found online:
The book is full of quick and easy projects using old military uniforms.  Of course, my versions are made from denim, but the principle is the same!
Here are my little card wallets.  As you can tell, I reused buttons from the jeans here - they add to the effect, I think.
