Catching up...

Well. looks like I won't manage a post a day in February either ... lol.  Last week was a bit of a nightmare - so much going on both at work and at school.  I was out nearly every evening - and I wasn't just having a nice time socialising.  It didn't leave a lot of time for sewing or blogging. I am trying to make up for it this weekend, and spent yesterday on a wonderful sewing day at Tudor Rose patchwork, learning new patterns and techniques with the wonderfully talented Helen Coverley. These bags were part of the result:

I learnt how to make a fake chenille fabric (as shown on the bag pockets) and a new, much tidier way of setting zips into the tops of bags.
I'm sharing this post at these link parties:

  1. I love how your bags reuse denim but don't look like they came off a pair of pants. Much classier looking. I love that pop of color in the strip.

  2. Cute bags! I really like the 2nd one. Thanks for sharing @ Submarine Sunday!
