We had a fantastic day. It was my most profitable stall yet; I sold nearly £350 worth of bags, purses and phone cases. Owl phone cases were as popular as ever. I sold the remaining baby owl bags I had. I sold lots of pocket purses and was glad I had recently replenished stock of those, and a number of bags as well. It was a really varied range of sales. I had lots of great conversations, and even did an "interview" over the announcements about what I am doing and why. The event was extremely well attended, particularly by families.
The weather was very changeable - we had bright sunshine much of the time, but also a few heavy showers. I was very glad of the gazebo - which kept us and the stock dry.
Thanks to where we were placed, I was able to display round three sides of the gazebo. We also seemed to be on the direct route people were taking from the nearby shops to their houses, so had passing trade much of the time. Bedford Lions organised the event brilliantly. I'm looking forward to next year already!

It sounds like a perfect - and successful!! - day :) I have to Google "tombola" - I have no idea what that is, lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm about to head out to catch the bus into town - I'm having an IRON emergency - my iron died last night (only 2 1/2 months old - thats ridiculous) and I CANNOT SEW without an iron. I did cut out and kit a few projects last night but I even like to have the iron for that, as I like to press the fabrics before I cut them! Iron AHOY!! ;)
Thanks again for your guest post!!! Such a treat for my readers!! :)
