Monster bags

This is the next installment of preparation for my "Wild Things" sales.  Here is the first version of a variation on a theme - monster bags.

 As I am sure you can tell, they use the same basic shape as the baby owl bag, with different features added.  I anticipate having some fun with these - more are cut out and ready to complete.

Curtain fabric purses

These simple purses were all made out of curtain fabric - some donated for linings and some from Debbie's trips to Mombasa.  I need to clear my stash but I can't bear to throw away the scraps of these fabrics left after I have used larger pieces to line bags.  The purses help to solve this problem.

Simple purses

These purses mix denim and scraps of curtain fabric - some of which came from Mombasa.  They were simple to make and look really effective.  Even better, the money raised from selling one of these will feed a child in Utange for two weeks.

More baby owl bags

These baby owl bags have been such good sellers that I seem to be constantly making more of them.  Here are the latest complete batch - but I already have another dozen cut out and ready to sew.  I've even been asked for some matching sets of bag, purse and phone case - those will be fun to make and photograph.  I hope to make several sets; maybe others will see them as a good Christmas present.

Sayings tote bags

This is my third (I think) batch of these.  I really like how they have come out, and it has been fun coming up with new sayings to go on them.  Some are bought patterns, but others I have designed and made myself.

Monster coin purses

This is a variation on a previous design. You can find a tutorial for this style of coin purse here if you want to make one for yourself. I'm still stocking up on monster related items in preparation for a "Wild Things" series of sales in December, so I guess I need to make sure I don't sell all of these before then!
